Admiral Farragut Academy’s Minecamp combines STEM-focused outdoor adventures with engaging indoor educational activities, centered around the themes of mining, engineering, and exploration. This includes hands-on engineering projects using the Minecraft educational platform, real-life mining for gemstones and fossils, and crafting a variety of items such as sunglasses, rings, and necklaces.
Outdoors, campers immerse themselves in the scenic beauty of the 威廉希尔中国 campus and its waterfront, engaging in a variety of activities. These include excavating fossils, kayaking, boating, exploring marine life, fishing, cast netting, using metal detectors, drone piloting, mining for gemstones, and enjoying refreshing swims in the pool.
Just when it gets too hot, we head indoors for creative and educational endeavors in our specialized STEM and Science labs. Here, campers delve into the digital realm of Minecraft, crafting, and engineering using advanced tools such as laser cutters, metal engravers, and 3D printers. Unique projects include creating sunglasses with specialized injection molding machines and inlay ring crafting made from fossils and gemstones campers discover. Additionally, the camp provides interactive experiences with various animals, including reptiles and turtles, enhancing the hands-on learning environment.
